MINNESOTA OLD TIMERS HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
ABOUT THE OLD TIMERS
“To foster, promote and conserve interest in the sport of hockey throughout the State of Minnesota by conducting social events and activities during the year. Throughout the years The Old Timers Hockey Association has held to these ideals.”
The Old Timers Hockey Association was formed in 1985. The founding members, who included Jack Berres, John Mariucci, Bob Schmidt, and others, envisioned an organization that would foster the game of hockey throughout the state of Minnesota, bring people with backgrounds in hockey together and raise funds for the Confidence Learning Center
We host three events to bring our members together.
We have a luncheon the Monday before Thanksgiving, hosted at Mancini’s. The luncheon includes a speaker of statewide prominence. It also gives the member a chance to renew old acquaintances and form new ones.
The golf tournament is held in July. This is an 18-hole scramble with dinner and awards following golf.
The final event is held on the Monday prior to the State High School Boys Hockey Tournament. A panel of high school hockey experts discuss the tournament and players to watch later that week.
